These days people are becoming increasingly aware of the environmental impact of the things they buy.
As a direct response to today's throwaway society, the aim of The Painted Forest is to make beautiful limited-edition furniture from locally reclaimed furniture that would otherwise be discarded.
As an illustrator, I began to look at new textures and shapes to work with and started to play around with pieces of furniture. I love the unique character that each old piece brings to the new design.
This site is still in its infancy - each piece takes time - but I hope to gradually add more pieces and am particularly excited about the prospect of including a children's range based on nursery rhymes and fairytales.
Limited edition prints are also available.
